Community Assessment
Community assessment is the systematic examination of a community’s needs and assets.
Whether to surface community needs and resources in general or to guide the attainment of a specific goal, analysis of demographic, social and economic data and selected community indicators builds a foundation to support service planning. The Strategies Center can assist with multiple assessment methods including a review of local, state, and national data sets, key stakeholder surveys or interviews, focused group discussions, and intercept, walking and windshield surveys. We collaborate with our clients to develop reports that identify community priorities, point to improvements in organizational and community coordination and collaboration, and create a baseline from which to measure change.
